Thank you for your email regarding the letter you received from Credit Collections.  I have not had any correspondence from them.  Hopefully their information is correct and they are paid.
I want to thank you for all the help you have been to us.  I have been getting credit card statements that show they are being paid faithfully each month.  Before signing on with CCCS,  I was cautioned about using a consumer credit company.  A credit card company even told me I was making a mistake because "Those companies" always cheated people.  I have found that to be untrue.  I suppose a consumer needs to be careful and choose the right company. 
Anyway, I want to say thanks for all you do.  We have really appreciated the opportunity to get our finances back in shape and I know we couldn't have done it without the help of CCCS.

I'm not certain if you remember me or not.  I have taken several of the classes you have taught at RFCU. It was at one of those workshops that I heard about the class for the "1st Time Homebuyers".  I took the class in March of this year.  As you may recall, I was the one in the class who had no intention of buying a house.  I was simply taking the class for future knowledge.  Well how quickly things change.

The owner of our rental house decided to sell in June and so we unexpectedly found ourselves needing a place to live- and fast.  Because of your class,  I felt confident considering buying rather than renting.  I called a couple of Realtors and the rest is history.  We have been in our new home (the first home we have ever purchased) for two weeks now and we love it!  The process was actually simple and pain free.  Thank you so much for equipping me with the knowledge to make this all happen!  If someone would have told me 6 months ago I'd be buying a house I would have said they were crazy- but never say never.  Thanks A lot- (Name withheld for privacy- from 2002)

Hi Jan,
First let me say thank you for sending me a copy of the article about zombie collection practices. 
My son had received a call from a collection agency stating that he owed some money to
a company which they could not disclose from 11 years ago.  They told him he needed to pay it now or it would be reported as a bad debt on his credit report.  He was very upset since as he told me he didn't keep records that far back.  He also said the person calling didn't know who the company was but that he better pay up now.
After talking with you and receiving the article he told the man when he call again, that he needed to know who he owed the money to and all the other details and then he could talk about it.  He also told the man he was reporting the call to the State Attorneys General's office.
Just last week he received a letter stating he owed nothing and that the information would be passed along to the reporting groups.
Thanks so very much for your help.  I hope there as a way that everyone can become aware of this deceitful practice. I hate to think of how much money is collected from innocent, fearful people. (Name withheld for privacy)
