U.S. Bancorp Foundation Helps Klamath Basin Residents

Gloria Schell, Community Regional President for U.S. Bancorp, presents a check to Jan Safley, Executive Director of CCCS of Southern Oregon from the U.S. Bancorp Foundation. The donation will help fund the Agency's counseling and education services to low to moderate income individuals and families in the Klamath Basin.

State Farm's Community Development Program
Consumer Credit Counseling was the recent recipient of a check from State Farm for $5000 to provide credit counseling appointments and educational programs in Jackson and Klamath Counties. The grant supports State Farm's Community Development Initiative, "Strong Neighborhoods". Presenting the check for State Farm were local Medford agents Russ Wimmer, Robert Linnell, and Larry Nicholson. Receiving the check is CCCS Board President Bambi Powers.

| Bill Haden, Executive Vice President of the Southern Oregon Region and Peggy Hanson, Crater Lake Highway Branch Manager, present a check for $500 to Jan Safley, Director of Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern Oregon for the Agency’s Money Management Program. Using area volunteers, the Program provides money management assistance to low income seniors and the disabled. |

Helping Out in the Klamath Basin

Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern Oregon was a recent recipient of a donation of $1500 from Pacific Crest Federal Credit Union. The donation was awarded to help support financial counseling and education services in the Klamath Basin.
CCCS provides over 250 free credit counseling appointments and makes numerous community education programs a year in Klamath County. In thanking the Credit Union and President/CEO Kathie Philp, Jan Safley, Executive Director of CCCS said that local services could not be provided without the generosity of local businesses such as Pacific Crest.

Since 1971, CCCS of Southern Oregon has helped thousands of families manage their money through free
counseling and low-cost educational programs. CCCS of Southern Oregon is a nonprofit United Way
agency, and a HUD-approved housing counseling agency.
